Get to know Jonathan Gabay

Childhood ambition: At age 11 when people asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I would say “I want to be the person who decides what shows go on tv and at what time.” So the answer was always a TV exec.

Fondest memory: Being at the Superbowl, when the Patriots beat the Falcons after being down 28-3 at Halftime.

Soundtrack: A little bit Jack Johnson, a little bit Mariah Carey, a little bit Foo Fighters, and a lot of Disney and musical theater.

Retreat: Anytime I can travel somewhere new in the world. Or just reading a book in one sitting by a pool.

Wildest dream: I’ve never lived anywhere but LA, so it would have to be living in a foreign country (or even just NY) to say that I did.

Proudest moment:

Biggest challenge: Exhibiting patience!

Alarm clock:

Perfect day: Trying a great new restaurant for the first time and then going to a live sporting event or concert with friends.

First job: Working at the housing department at USC and learning to deal with angry parents.

Indulgence: Concert tickets and Michelin star restaurants.

Last purchase: Tickets to Beyoncé in Paris.

Favorite movie: West Side Story, Good Will Hunting, Scream, Big, Jerry Maguire.

Inspiration: Two of my best friends Michael & Michael who got me through a lot and helped me become who I am today…and Lucille Ball.

My life: A dream come true
