Warners-based Dan Lin (“Sherlock Holmes”) and Roy Lee of Veritgo Entertainment are producing the family adventure, a mix of live action and animation. Warners is keeping the logline under wraps.
Jill Wilfert, VP of licensing and entertainment at Lego, is exec producing, with Lin Pictures’ Seanne Winslow co-producing.
The film’s been in development for more than a year. Producers have made several trips to Denmark to work with Lego’s execs on the concept.
Lord and Miller wrote and directed Sony’s animated “Cloudy,” which grossed $125 million domestically and $118 million overseas. The duo’s slotted to direct Sony’s feature version of “21 Jump Street” early next year before possibly moving on to “Lego.”
