ALANA DE LA GARZA TO STAR IN ABC PILOT ‘FOREVER’, MEHCAD BROOKS JOINS ‘IDENTITY’

It centers on Dr. Henry Morgan (Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner. But what no one knows is Henry studies the dead for a reason — he is immortal. His investigative work with recently widowed Detective Jo Martinez (de la Garza), a recovering alcoholic, and relationship with best friend Abe (Judd Hirsch) will peel back the layers of Henry’s colorful and long life. De la Garza, repped by SDB Partners, most recently co-starred on NBC’s Do No Harm.
Necessary Roughness co-star Mehcad Brooks has joined the CW pilot Identity, exec produced by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci. It centers on Mia (Ahna O’Reilly), a young New Yorker who learns she needs an organ transplant to survive and her only living relative is a newfound half-brother, Davis (Matt Barr), the only son of a wealthy and powerful Charleston family. She connects with them only to find they’re the target of a CIA investigation for involvement in domestic terrorism, and the agency wants her as their newest informant. Brooks, repped by Mosaic, Gersh and Dave Feldman, plays Brennan. a driven, unorthodox CIA agent who finds himself with a perfectly positioned but very green new asset in Mia.
