Get to know Jonathan Eirich

Childhood ambition: To be a mystery novelist… who was also a doctor who played third base part time for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Fondest memory: Fondest childhood memory was my first snowfall in Boston with my family… Fondest adult memory is my wedding day in Sonoma in 2013. Most embarrassing fondest memory was fainting during the birth of my son Finn and then waking up a minute later for the delivery.

Soundtrack: Some combination of alt rock, classical and cheesy current pop music… though weirdly Lightning Crashes by Live has always come on the radio at big milestones in my life.

Retreat: Traveling internationally to somewhere new with my wife Daria… so far, it’s Chile, Slovenia, Turkey, Peru, Kenya, Spain, France, Italy, London, Belize, Greece, Mexico City…

Wildest dream: To be successful enough to have the freedom to be bi-coastal and to travel all the time with my family.

Proudest moment: Holding my two sons for the first time, tied with saying my wedding vows to Daria.

Biggest challenge: Knowing how to prioritize my day to still get home for time with the boys every night.

Alarm clock: A two-year-old.

Perfect day: Golf in the morning, a museum with Daria and a fancy coffee, then playing sports outdoors with my two sons, squeezing in late afternoon wine tasting, all capped off by an amazing meal with family & friends.

First job: Working in the kitchen of a fancy Boston restaurant at age 15.

Indulgence: Golf, art, coffee, travel, fantasy baseball.

Last purchase: Fresh all-white Air Force One’s to replace the ones my wife told me are disgusting repeatedly.

Favorite movie: LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, GROUNDHOG DAY, RUSHMORE, MEMENTO

Inspiration: My parents, my wife and my kids. I’ve only ever looked up to people I know.

My life: Keeps getting better.
